Mining

Dig ore out of veins with a pickaxe and refine it at the General Store Saleswoman. Every extraction also gives you a Black Stone to upgrade the pickaxe.

The pickaxe

• At the Miner you craft a Pickaxe+0 from 3 Metal Piece, 2 Wood and 50 million yang.

• The Metal Piece and Wood drop from the Metin of Vanity (Fox Den), the Metin of Malice (Tigrammi), the Metin stones in the Valley of the Forgotten Kings and the costume set chests.
• The pickaxe goes in the weapon slot.

Where to find veins

• Veins sit on Map 1 and Map 2 in every kingdom and on the hunting maps of the teleport panel. Each map has its own ores:
• Map 1: Fossil Trunk, Copper Ore, Silver Ore, Gold Ore, Diamond Stone.
• Map 2: the same as Map 1, plus Jade Ore and Ebony Ore.
• Ork Valley: Gold Ore, Jade Ore, Ebony Ore, Piece of Pearl, White Gold Ore, Diamond Stone.
• Yongbi Desert: the same as Ork Valley, plus Crystal Ore.
• Mount Sohan, Tigrammi, Hwang Temple and The Red Forest: Ebony Ore, Piece of Pearl, White Gold Ore, Crystal Ore, Amethyst Ore, Heaven's Tear Ore, Diamond Stone.
• Land of Fire and Land of the Giants: Piece of Pearl, White Gold Ore, Crystal Ore, Amethyst Ore, Heaven's Tear Ore, Diamond Stone.
• Fox Den and the Valley of the Forgotten Kings: White Gold Ore, Crystal Ore, Amethyst Ore, Heaven's Tear Ore, Diamond Stone and Soul Crystal Ore, found only here.
• A vein lasts 7-15 minutes, then disappears. Empty spots get new veins every 5 minutes. Mining does not use it up: while it stands, you can dig from it as often as you like.

How to mine

• With the pickaxe equipped, click the vein. The mining window opens.
• Click the shining spot in the rock. You can strike once per second; a miss takes half a second off your 30.
• How many good strikes you need depends on the pickaxe's plus: 12 at +0, one fewer every two pluses, down to 8 at +8 and +9.
• Done: the ore drops next to you, 20 to 100 pieces depending on your mining skill level (20, plus 2 per level).
• Every extraction also gives you a Black Stone and a 5% chance of a Mining Guide.

The mining skill

• It has 40 levels. You raise it by reading the Mining Guide: each book succeeds with a 50% chance, and you wait 18-30 hours between two books.

Upgrading the pickaxe

• You upgrade it at the blacksmith like any item, with Black Stone and yang: from 50 stones and 100 million (+0 to +1) up to 200 stones and 300 million (+8 to +9).
• Up to +4 it always succeeds; after that the chance drops from 90% (+4 to +5) to 70% (+8 to +9).

Pickaxe wear

• A pickaxe lasts 200 extractions. Once fully worn it cannot mine until you repair it.
• Repair it at the Miner with the pickaxe equipped: 5,000 yang plus 5,000 for each plus (50,000 at +9).

Refining

• At the General Store Saleswoman you trade 200 raw ores for one refined, no yang needed: for example 200 Gold Ore for 1 Gold.
