Upgrading and recycling

What the upgrade window tells you, and what to do with materials you no longer need.

The upgrade window

  • Next to each material you see how many you have and need, e.g. 3/25: red = missing, green = enough.
  • Materials in the special upgrade inventory are counted too.
  • The window also shows your total success chance.
  • The 3 slots take Blacksmith's Elixir (S) (+5%), Blacksmith's Elixir (M) (+10%) and Blacksmith's Elixir (L) (+15%). They are used up on every try, success or not.

  • At the Blacksmith, a failed upgrade destroys the item. Upgrade scrolls have their own rules: read their description.

Recycling at the Old Lady

  • The Old Lady stands in villages 1 and 3 of every empire.
  • Her option Recycle upgrade materials: for 10 upgrade materials you don't need you get one Recycling Token.
  • Put the stack in the top slot and see below how many tokens you get (20 pieces = 2 tokens). Leftovers under 10 stay with you.
  • Her option Token counter: one token = one useful material.
